Don't get excited about a Doctor Who prequel series

Fan's that desperately wanted to see a Doctor Who prequel series starting Paul McGann can stop thinking about it now. It's not going to happen. After seeing the excellent prequel to the 50th Anniversary titled 'The Night of The Doctor' practically every Doctor Who fan wanted to see more. And who can blame them, McGann was simply excellent. The 6 minute long webisode showed fans what the Doctor Who universe missed out on. Fans wanted to see more of what he got up to after he took over the TARDIS in 1996 up until be became John Hurt's Doctor.
Well, wonder no more. Speaking to Digital Spy at the Doctor Who Celebration, Stephen Moffat stated why it's never going to happen. So if you're interested you'll just have to listen to the audio books they did with Paul McGann (not the same, I know, but it's better than nothing).
“This [50th anniversary] is a party time, so we’re doing things differently. One Doctor at a time is the real rule – ‘Who would be on the lunchbox?’ is always my question when we talk about having more than one Doctor.
“I have a slight paranoia that at the moment it seems like every bugger’s playing the Doctor – more or less all of Equity!”
“Quite soon, it’s going to go back to, ‘There is one Doctor and that’s who he is’. He’s one man with many faces; he’s not a committee of people with unusual hair.”
