Slott and Ramos are Reintroducing Peter Parker to the Marvel Universe

Peter Parker is officially returning to the Marvel Universe in the relaunched Amazing Spider-Man #1. The wall crawler’s body and mind has been under the control of former villain Dr. Otto Octavius for nearly 13 months in Superior Spider-Man, so this is a very important new development in the life of Spider-Man. Launching the familiar title is Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos who have been chronicling the adventures of the hero since 2010. Marvel took the news over to the New Yorker, where they announced that the series is launching sometime in April. After 13 months since Otavius has had control over the body of Spider-Man, the title is heading toward a giant tonal shift in the coming months. The paper mentioned that the plans were set in motion to coincide with the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man film headed to theaters. Slott had the following to say to the newspaper on his Superior Spider-Man tenure,
We’ve gone over 30 issues without Peter Parker, so when we let him out of that box and he gets to put on that costume again and he gets to swing through the sky, it’s going to be the greatest feeling
Amazing Spider-Man #1 is shipping in April.
