A Simple Avengers Review

I can sum the film up in two words. Awesome and Epic! I loved it, so much so that I'm going to the cinema to see it again soon. The best way to sum it up is to think about how excited you were when Star Wars episode one came out, except unlike Start Wars episode one, I didn't leave feeling very disappointed due to building it up in my head before hand and all the excitement about it. Instead, I left thinking that this lived up to what i had hoped it would do.

So, with some slight spoilers (you've been warned), The Avengers starts immediately with setting up the premise of the film with Loki and then Shield. Naturally, problems occur and they have to pull in the super heros. What was really cool was that Joss Whedon managed to get all these big names together and made them gel very well together. Robert Downey Jr. was brilliant as Tony Stark once again adding humour and constantly wanting to see what the Hulk was like, and Chris Hemsworth still owns Thor and provides even more comedy with who ever he's talking to, or even when he's not talking as a particular moment with The Hulk showed when the cinema erupted with laughter. Even The Hulk provided a great laugh when with Loki in what was a brilliant part of the film.

The full alien invasion comes near the end and it's fantastic, everything seems to be done right. It's non-stop action from the moment the invasion starts and everyone gets their turn to shine and show what they can bring to the team.

There was only one disappointment that I can think of, and that was a surprise moment in the film... you'll know it when you see it. It does make sense though and brings the team together to actually form the Avengers so it definitely served a purpose. Before this moment, they weren't really a team, they were just there trying to do their own thing to help Nick Fury.

So, if you haven't seen this film yet, what are you playing at? Get to the cinema to see it! It's 100% worth it, it won't let you down.
