Batman: Arkham Knight gameplay trailer arrives

WB Games and developer Rocksteady have today revealed the first gameplay trailer from the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight; the supposedly final entry in the Arkham series of videogames.
Showcasing a good chunk of the combat which the Arkham games are known for and the hi-octane Batmobile racing that it isn't, the game looks absolutely splendid in its brand new duds; powered by the lovely new lumps of console plastic that we know as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
A PC version of the game is also due to be released too.
The story of Batman Arkham Knight revolves around the resurgent Scarecrow and his efforts to bring down Gotham's favourite son by re-assembling the Rogues Gallery faction of villains. In addition to a veritible murder's row of faces that we already know, The Riddler, Penguin, Two-Face and more, the game will also pit The Dark Knight against a new and mysterious threat, the titular 'Arkham Knight'. A brand new character designed especially for the game by DC Comics CCO and comic-book writer Geoff Johns, and DC co-publisher and comic artist Jim Lee, he looks to be a match for Batman in terms of raw physicality and boasts a full-on cybernetic suit of sorts.
