Available Now: KEMU book 1 from Markosia
Last month, Markosia released an impressive graphic novel titled "KEMU" by the talented author and illustrator Sheridan James Lunt. The novel boasts stunning visuals and promises an engaging read for fans of fantasy and myth.
In a time of sinister political intrigue and brewing civil war, ancient mythologies spring suddenly to life, upending the social order and complicating the swelling crisis. A jumbled cast of extraordinary characters must unite to prevent this collapse.
Explosively imaginative and emotionally charged, Kemu is a folkloric fever dream and hallucinatory free-fall through fantasy and myth.
This comic features full-page illustrations, calligraphic lettering, and large borders, imitating antique books and print-works.
Sheridan James Lunt is a filmmaker and animator based in Bristol, UK. In 2018, he published and illustrated an anthology of Cornish Folklore. His animated web series 'Piski Tells the Cornish Legends' has been translated and recorded with Cornish language narration. "Kemu" is his first graphic novel.
Kemu is out now and available from the links on the Markosia website. And keep an eye out for the review, which will be coming soon!
