Comics Assemble, a bold new democratic comic convention, is set to bring independent creators, small press publishers, retailers, and international guests together at The G1 Centre in Gloucester on Saturday, 15th August 2026. Designed from the ground up to put creators first, Comics Assemble gives exhibitors a real voice in shaping the event. From policies and layout to the overall experience, this will be a truly community‑driven celebration of comics and comic art.

Unlike traditional comic conventions, Creators Assemble is built around the creators themselves. Exhibitors not only showcase their work but also actively help shape the event. They vote on polices, layout, and other key aspects. The convention is designed to give creators real ownership and influence, making it a community-driven celebration of comics and comic art.

The event focuses on independent creators. It also welcomes internationally recognised talent, offering attendees a diverse experience across the world of comics. Exhibitors get a table for £100. They also receive 10 free tickets to sell or give away. These tickets allow them to share in the convention's success.

The first international guest announced is Canadian writer Jim Zub. Currently, he is impressing Conan fans with his new take on the barbarian at Titan Comics.

"Creators Assemble is about putting creators at the heart of the convention experience," says Shane Chebsey, Event Director. "It's a space for collaboration, creativity, and community. We want to celebrate independent comics while giving everyone involved a real voice in shaping the event."

Tickets are now available. Exhibitors are encouraged to register early. This ensures they can secure their table and participate in shaping the inaugural event.
