'Robin of Sherwood: Tales Untold' Celebrates Series' 40th Anniversary

To mark the 40th anniversary of Robin of Sherwood, AUK Studios, Oak Tree Books, and Chinbeard Books have announced a new limited edition audiobook and novelization titled "Robin of Sherwood: Tales Untold." This exclusive bundle offers a fresh perspective into the world of the legendary outlaw and sheds light on some of the series' excellent supporting characters. Robin of Sherwood: Tales Untold transports fans back to the heart of Sherwood Forest for a series of six vignettes. Writer Jennifer Ash returns to the series to, once again, craft compelling narratives in the style of Richard Carpenter.

For the audiobook, produced and directed by Barnaby Eaton-Jones, we are delighted to announce that Daniel Peacock (Sergeant Sparrow), Robert Daws (Hubert de Giscard), Claire Parker (Elana Scathlock), and Oliver Tobias (Bertrand de Nivelle) - all original actors from the 'Robin of Sherwood' series - have lent their voices to the audio production (alongside actors Conrad Westmaas, Philip Pope, and Barnaby Eaton-Jones) to breathe life into these beloved characters once again.

Also, actor Terry Molloy, reprising his take on the Old Prisoner (and Arthur), is returning from the very first audio release, Robin of Sherwood: The Knights of the Apocalypse.

Whatever the format, fans will be treated to a treasure trove of narratives that delve into the rich tapestry of Sherwood's guest-starring inhabitants. From riveting tales set after the conclusion of key episodes to prequels and concurrent storylines, each story is bound to captivate the Robin of Sherwood fanbase.

Exclusive to the book release is a seventh vignette centred around the Hooded Man's father, the Earl of Huntingdon. This offers readers a glimpse into the aftermath of losing his wife and having to bring up his son alone (Jason Connery's Robert of Huntingdon, who becomes the second Hooded Man after Michael Praed leaves the title role).
