Spooned and Bladdered by The Ex-Zine Editor: Colossive Cartographies #73
Colossive Press returns with a standout new instalment in their Cartographies series: Spooned and Bladdered by the Ex‑Zine Editor. This playful, Wetherspoons‑inspired board‑game zine blends humour, nostalgia and DIY creativity, capturing everything fans love about her tactile, characterful work.

This is the 73rd Colossive Cartography, and the first of Series 13. Or Series 12A. Depends who you talk to. Although we've had a Series 12, so wouldn't this then be Series 12B? I don't know. We'll stick to Series 13. Anyway, it's Spooned and Bladdered by the hugely talented and prolific zinester The Ex-Zine Editor.
The Ex-Zine Editor writes about millennial nostalgia, neurodivergence and being a massive book nerd. Her zines are known for their tactile covers, featuring googly eyes and fake fur patches.

This is a Zine that is a board game. So if you want something to do while you sip your lukewarm lager, this is it. It's a simple snakes-and-ladders-style board game based around a trip to the popular British budget pub chain Wetherspoons. I hope that at the end of the longest ladder is the Wetherspoons toilets.
Anyway, players must arrive on Thursday afternoon and secure a seat. Then it's microwave dinner and bevvies, followed by getting out the door again before 7pm when all the rowdy pre-loading youths bowl up.

It sounds straightforward enough, but many obstacles - including drunks, menu mix-ups, and faraway loos - stand in your way. Fancy playing? Grab your copy of Colossive Cartographies #73 for just £2 here. Or - even better - subscribe to Series 13 for just £10 here. All six titles in the set will be delivered straight to your door as soon as they're published.
