Superior Spider-Man was a fan favorite title from Marvel tearing up the sales charts as long as it was published. The book is set to return in August, keeping the original numbering from the previous volume. Issue #32 is bringing mark the series return to publishing. The book is only coming back for two issues, and will be written by Christos Gage and Dan Slott and drawn by series long time penciller Giuseppe Camuncoli on #32, and Adam Kubert on #33. The first issue is shipping in August, and the second issue is shipping in September. The title will tell the story of the time that Doc Ock Spider spent in an alternate reality previously seen in issue #19. Issue #32 of the series also serves as a prelude to the upcoming Spider-Verse event. Marvel.com announced the story

Co-Author Christos Gage stated the following on what’s next for Ock during the troubled time.

Obviously there's more to it, There’s time travel involved. Sharp-eyed readers will remember a period in SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #19 when Otto vanished in a flash of temporal energy. Now we'll find out where he went, and what happened.”

Editor Nick Lowe also chimed in.

The road to the biggest Spider-Event of all time begins here. SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN finds himself in 2099, finally a time where science and intellectual advancement is at least closer to his genius. He needs to find his way home, but things get a little more complicated than that.

Gage ends with a tease bating fans.

Superior Spider-Man comes face to face with a Peter Parker Spider-Man. A very different one from the one we know.”
