Image Expo Reveals 19 New Comics

At the Image Expo this morning, Image announced a total of 19 brand new comics. Comic Book News was on the scene to report on the large breadth of comics just announced this afternoon:
Spawn
-Todd McFarlane announced he is not relaunching Spawn.
-The series has multiple covers including: Greg Capullo Variant Cover Skottie Young Variant Jock Variant
-Spawn Resurrection #1 is being renumbered for only one month, the comic is written by Paul Jenkins, with art from Jonboy Meyers.
-Al Simmons is coming back and he's here to stay.
Savior
-McFarlane announced a completely painted cover and interiors for Savior #1
-What if the most dangerous man on earth was also the one trying to do the most good
-written by Brian Holguin
-pencilled by Todd McFarlane
-painted by Clayton Crain
Heaven
-James Robinson came to the stage
-He said Airboy will be solicited soon.
-Robinson has been working on an epic science fiction book entitled Heaven with a cover from Philip Tan.
Starve and Black Road
-Two announcements from Brian Wood delivered from Eric Stephenson.
-Starve is on the way by Brian wood and Daniel
-Black Road is Brian’s returned to the viking world.
-Gary Brown is pencilling.
8House
-Brandon Graham took to the stage to talk about 8House.
-The title is a series of fantasy comics set in the same world.
-Emma Rios is coming to 8House.
-Her series is called Mirror.
-She is the author.
Island
-Emma Rios and Brandon Graham are also working on a comic called Island.
-Multiple Warheads and I.D. are coming later in 2015.
Pretty Deadly
-Kelly Sue DeConnick came to the stage.
-"Everything about that book is problematic" said DeConnick.
-Rios and DeConnick are starting the next storyline soon with Pretty Deadly.
Tadaima
-Emi Lenox was introduced.
- She announced Tadaima: a graphic novel in watercolor about Lenox’s trip to Japan with her mother.
-The title is launching this Summer.
Plutona
-Lenox introduced Lemire to the stage.
-Plutona is drawn by Lenox and written by Lemire.
-The comics is five issue mini-series.
-It's about kids that witness a dead superhero.
-The book functions as a character study of these five kids.
- The comic is coming sometime in 2015.
A.D. After Death
-Lemire introduced Snyder and teased A.D. After Death.
-The comic is drawn by Lemire.
We Stand on Guard
-Stephenson introduced author Brian K. Vaughan as the writer of Saga.
-Vaughan announced another title from Image called We Stand on Guard.
-Steve Skroce did a lot of Marvel work. He’s a storyboard artist for the Wachowski Brothers.
Monstress
-Marjorie Liu took the stage.
-Sana Takeda is joining her on a book called Monstress.
-The comic is coming this Summer.
Sons of the Devil
-Brian Buccellato joined the fray as ushered in by Eric Stephenson, who hosted the event.
-He’s taking his Kickstarter project over to Image with Sons of the Devil.
-The short film that he made for the project will be available from the Image website later today.
RunLoveKill
-Eric Canete and Jonathan Tsuei stepped in the room.
-The team announced RunLoveKill.
No Mercy
-Alex De Campi was up next.
-She introduced Carla Speed McNeil are telling a story called No Mercy solicited in April.
The Ludocrats
-Kieron Gillen sporting a beard was met with much fan fever.
-Gillen is teaming up with David Lafuente
-The new comic is called The Ludocrats “imagine a book as good as Brandon Graham thinks his are,” Gillen said.
-"The Ludocrats will be the greatest comic of all time," Gillen said.
-Jamie McKelvie joined Gillen after his speech for The Ludocrats.
The Wicked + The Divine
-The third act of The Wicked + The Divine was announced as 'Commercial Suicide.'
-Stephanie Hans, Tula Lotay, and Kate Brown are assisting with The Wicked + The Divine, giving artist Jamie McKelvie a break while Phonogram continues.
Phonogram: The Immaterial Girl
-The New Phonogram is primarily inspired by 80’s music videos.
-Illustrator Jamie McKelvie and author Kieron Gillen are working on Phonogram: The Immaterial Girl, while The Wicked + The Divine goes on break with guest artists.
Kaptara
-Chip Zdarksy and Kagan McLeod are launching Kaptara.
-The motivational orb can help you to achieve your task.
-The book is coming in April.
-"I’ve been pitching it to everyone as gay Saga," Zdarsky said.
Revengeance
-Darwyn Cooke is working on Revengeance.
-The comic is a tale mixing crime and psychotronic melodrama.
I Hate Fairyland
- Skottie Young pitched an Image series over a decade ago.
-Alice in Wonderland served as an inspiration for him.
-Young stated that the book was originally called “Fuck Fairyland”
-The comic is coming this Fall.
Paper Girl
-Brian K. Vaughan was brought up to the stage with Cliff Chiang after the press conference was done.
-His project is a new comic called Paper Girls about girls that deliver newspapers that takes place the day after Halloween.
-The comic is an ongoing series.
