This week’s episode of The Flash is focused on the brewing conflict between Harrison Wells, Barry Allen and the rest of the S.T.A.R. Labs team. Oh..and Barry figured out who Harrison is...or has an idea based on the limited amount of information distributed to him last episode. Without further ado, let's begin!

Arm yourself for Spoilers below...argh!

Skeptical Allen
Now that team Flash has a lock on where Harrison comes from, they also proceed to uncover new hints and teases at what could be next for the show in Harrison's Batcave. Including more than a couple things that I might have previously overlooked -- such as Iris Allen-West’s surprise byline. Barry Allen is the director of the Central City Police. Gideon, the computer, also knows Barry's alter ego. Well now...there are two episodes left...it looks like all hell is about to break loose involving the dynamic of Harrison knowing that Barry knows that he's a crazy freaking serial killer!

Barry reveals some pretty dark secrets.

The group reveals to the rest of the team that there are memories from the other future that Barry created when he time traveled. This show is getting pretty wacky to begin with and now the team had other plans to start toying with reality. Keeping with the theme of time travel, some sort of flash forward to the past proves that Wells illustrated of point of aggression in his pursuit of Barry with Joe. I love that we're going for pure sci-fi here.

Eddie’s got some bad news.
Eddie is really chasing Iris' hand in marriage -- this makes things pretty awkward for Barry, Joe, and...well...the viewers. Joe saying no is the best thing for Iris, as he truly is concerned for the rest of the show. She somehow managed to trace everything about S.T.A.R. Labs all the way back to Barry and the rest of the team.

This show is a thriller above all else.
Cisco’s lucid dream sequence is a great way to pace out the episode giving way to some crazy paranoia. The effects on the production to make the scene more ethereal leads naturally towards a darker moment. Wells revealed his identity and his confession of the death of Nora Allen. Joe mentions that Eddie sounds awfully close to Eobard. Stay tuned for continued developments. So now we have no idea if Eobard/Wells is screwing with him or not. Still, it seems like he has some good intentions to save the rest of the people in the fire. Wells notice that Allen has some sort of hesitation involving the rest of the group.

To catch a serial killer.
Cisco finally sets up just the right environments for the condition of The Flash. The group even managed to capture Wells, and even kill him by accident. Of course, Hannibal Bates was the rogue Harrison that was just shot. It’s great to hear Wells once again decree his love for The Flash and working with everyone else. This show is never quite as simple as it seems, and Wells is justifiably caught up much further ahead of everyone else.

In conclusion...

Eobard is somehow related to Eddie in some cryptic and clumsy scene that doles out the mythology in a small dose. This week’s episode of The Flash really treaded some brand new ground in the Wells/Allen relationship. I’m still not quite sure what direction The Flash is now headed, but so much good will has already been established here that I don’t think worrying should even be part of the equation. This is a formidable entry into the cannon of the show, as the final scenes with Harrison and Barry’s discoveries gave just the right amounts of drama and nuance into an episode that was already strong.
