Ricky Miller on the Avery Hill Publishing spring 2027 list
Avery Hill Publishing Publisher and Commissioning Editor Ricky Miller said of the new list:
"This Spring 2027 list is a perfect snapshot of what Avery Hill is and what we're building. It brings together a diverse group of creators we've worked with across multiple books. Owen D. Pomery and B. Mure have been with us since the very beginning, contributing to our early zines and anthologies. Helping creators build careers while we build a publishing company has always been the idea, and this list shows it in action.
"I'm delighted to be publishing The Arc Fall, the sequel to The Hard Switch, one of our best-selling books. As a sci-fi nerd, this pushes all my buttons, and it's brilliant to return to Owen's world and characters. The story is gripping, the characters are compelling and the art is sublime. This is fast becoming a classic sci-fi series.
"Clio has been one of the most exciting voices in British comics since her first book with us, and Kill The Dream is a huge leap forward. She's kept the playfulness and invention that made Sour Pickles such a delight, but turned them towards something far more unsettling. What got me most is the heart beneath the strangeness: for all its eerie rituals, this is a book about sisters, and about what we inherit from the people who bring us up. It's the kind of unsettling story that gets under your skin and stays there, and I can't wait for readers to discover it.
"Under Ismyre is the final book in the Ismyre series, and I can't wait for readers to see how it ends! We published the first book back in 2017, and every new instalment since has been an absolute joy. B. Mure is a brilliant artist, and his themes of ecology and protest have only become more relevant over the years. I'm so proud of B. for this achievement, and delighted we've been able to help him find readers who love the series as much as we do."
The Arc Fall: Owen D. Pomery returns to the world of The Hard Switch
Out 10th March 2027.
104 pages, hardcover, full colour, 170 x 240mm

Avery Hill Publishing opens the season with The Arc Fall. The book is an all-new science fiction graphic novel from the creator of The Hard Switch. Ada, Haika and Mallic all return.
Inter-system space travel is now only the reserve of the elite. Ada, Haika and Mallic are still trying to solve an eons-old mystery that could re-democratise the galaxy. They must also stay one step ahead of their relentless pursuers, the shady X2 organisation. Even laying low becomes impossible as society's most basic structures start to crumble. The crew face fundamental and devastating choices in order to survive.
Self-preservation grips the galaxy, propelled by waves of fear and mistrust. Loyalties are pushed to breaking point, and pulling together may not be enough.
Is a new beginning in sight, or is it the beginning of the end?
Kill The Dream: Clio Isadora turns to contemporary horror
Out 14th April 2027.
168 pages, paperback, black & white, 168 x 239mm

Kill The Dream is the second Avery Hill Publishing release of the spring. A contemporary horror graphic novel about two sisters and their mother's obsession with the new age spiritual movement. Their lives begin to unravel after her funeral.
Amethyst and Parsley Mire had an unconventional childhood.
Their estranged mother, Blanche, abandoned the family to pursue a self-imposed destiny. She set out to unlock the spirit realm's three doors of life, death and rebirth. After Blanche's mysterious death, the sisters fly out to the lonely desert town Jupiter Rock to attend her funeral. There they meet the strange individuals who followed their mother's teachings about unlocking the soul's consciousness in different lifetimes.
Blanche's students then kidnap the sisters to help find a new vessel for her soul. Amethyst and Parsley become entangled in a dark plan laid from beyond the grave.
This contemporary soft horror graphic novel explores how the way your family raised you can haunt you all your life.
Under Ismyre: B. Mure brings the Ismyre series to a close
Out 16th June 2027.
114 pages, paperback, full colour, 148 x 210mm

Avery Hill Publishing ends the spring list with Under Ismyre. The stunning conclusion to the fantastical Ismyre series.
Under Ismyre closes B. Mure's quietly powerful and allegorical saga. The city trembles in the aftermath of the catastrophic events that closed Disciples of the Soil. The land still shifts beneath people's feet, and political tensions run at an all-time high. The citizens must confront the consequences of unchecked ambition, ecological imbalance and years of simmering unrest.
Mure tells the story with his signature tenderness, wry humour and atmospheric watercolour artwork. This final volume weaves together themes of resistance, community care and environmental stewardship. Running beneath them is the fragile hope that small actions can reshape the world.
Both intimate and sweeping in scope, the book brings the Ismyre cycle to a cathartic close. It is a farewell to a world of quiet wonders, uneasy truths and enduring solidarity.
The final Ismyre graphic novel is a poignant, beautifully crafted conclusion to one of contemporary comics' most distinctive fantasy series. Originally scheduled for the Autumn 2026 releases, it's great to see it back on the list.
All three titles will be available from the Avery Hill Publishing website.
