Commando Comics This Week: 5723-5726

Commando Issues 5723-5726 are on sale from Thursday, 15th February 2024, featuring thrilling stories of war, adventure, and revenge. New contributors are joining the Commando ranks – including Commando's first female cover artist!

Anna Morozova, a comics artist and illustrator from Russia, will be creating the cover for the same story. Morozova is no stranger to the British comics scene, having worked for 2000 AD and the Treasury of British Comics. Morozova's cover for "Madame Revenger!" marks a historic moment for Commando, as she is the first-ever female cover artist in the comics' 60-year history.

Joining Morozova as a new Commando team member is Spanish artist Alberto Navajo, aka JANF, who will draw the interior pages on the same story as Morozova. Navajo has a strong sense of composition and figure work.

Commando 5723: Home of Heroes: Tomasz and the Top-Secret Engine

Tomasz Zielinski had escaped Poland and the German Blitzkrieg in 1939 by hopping aboard a Polish armoured train headed for safety. That was then, and now, in 1940, he was itching for action, but he and his division were in reserve in the west of France away from the fighting. That was until he was approached by a familiar face with a top-secret mission to head straight into danger to steal an engine right from under the Nazis' noses! Tomasz was about to ride that train once again!
