Conan the Avenger #22 Review
Reading time: 1 minute
This weeks Conan the Avenger chronicles the adventures of Sami and Tarek. The two villagers have only just escaped the doppelgänger of Taramis, her twin evil sister Salome. In Salome's kingdom, she reigns as dictator and exhibits all the classic signs of a dictator. There is hope though for Conan, who escaped crucifixtion in issue #21 and has now fled to the right hand of Olgred Vladislav. What transpires in issue #23 should sure be exciting, with the gearing up of a Zagir raid on Khauran, probably led by Conan.
This issue holds all the classic transitory details in an adventure story and I am addicted to it. The desert might play into this as well because I just finished Frank Hebert's Dune so I could be partial to the desolation portrayed by Brian Ching, but that only adds to the story. The people of Khauran are going to be interesting as the series progresses because I wonder if they will rise up in a slave rebellion type scenario, Game of Thrones style, or whether Conan and his new warrior pack will avenge the Khauran.
Either way, I am very excited about the next issue and highly recommend this issue to anyone looking for some adventure this week! The next issue releases on the 16th of February.
