Damage Control Marvel

Have you ever wondered what happens after all these Marvel superhero-on-supervillain fights level buildings? Well, it looks like we are going to find out, with Variety reporting that ABC are developing a TV series based on the exploits of the superhero clean-up firm, Damage Control.

Damage Control follows a team of non-super powered human contractors who clean up after superhero battles and will be unlike anything else in the MCU, as it's being planned as a half hour comedy show, written by Modern Family's Ben Karlin alongside Parks And Recreation's David Miner. It's a rather obscure choice for adaptation, but it does fill a niche that Marvel haven't really filled yet with their TV series picking up what they don't want to do in the cinema. Its Netflix output like Daredevil and Jessica Jones is free to be dark and gritty, while Agents Of SHIELD and Agent Carter can be more geared towards the prime-time slot. Now they're planning a comedy to diversify their model even more.

Don't be surprised if you see it cross-over with Agents of SHIELD at some point as it would be an easy creative decision.

No announcements on who will be in the series or whether we can expect any familiar faces to appear in it. At the moment though, the news is by no means absolute confirmation that the show will definitely happen: after all, we’re still all waiting for Most Wanted to really happen.
