Explore Northampton’s Diverse Tales with "Community Comics"

Community Comics, the new anthology by 60 Miles, is now available on Etsy. It's exciting news for UK comics fans. The book was curated by Northampton's Laura Graham. It shows the vibrant stories of six local community groups, each paired with talented comic book artists and writers.

The 116-page book captures the rich and diverse experiences of local communities in Northamptonshire, giving readers a real look into the heart of local life.

60 Miles presents: Community Comics puts the spotlight on local communities who are often left out of the mainstream story of Northampton's rich social heritage.

Laura Graham paired six local community groups with six comic book artists and writers. Together, they captured the range of experiences that make up the place we all call home. The work spans a wide range of perspectives, forms and styles.

Each artist produced a 10-page comic after taking part in three sessions with their group. The book also includes two extra pieces per story. These may include creative writing, interviews, or research materials, all overseen by Heritage Communicators. You can also listen to oral history recordings alongside the comics.

All of the material has been brought together into a single, stunning 116-page collection. It unites Northants' stories for people now and in the future.
