Inhumans Currently Without A Release Date
Reading time: 2 minutes

It appears that Marvel Studios Inhumans film no longer has an official release date, having been taken off its 2019 spot with no rescheduled date listed. The news was reported by the Twitter account of BoxOffice magazine, and subsequently picked up by multiple outlets including Deadline.
Deadline report that the Inhumans film is "not dead", but "it's just a matter of when Marvel will fire it up." The film has previously been moved once before, as it was originally scheduled for the 2nd November 2018 before moving to July 2019. Some keen observers have noted that the last scheduled date has likely changed due to Disney's announcement last month of the 5th instalment of Indiana Jones, which was given a due date of just a week after Inhumans scheduled date - too close for Disney to release two major films.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige actually acknowledged that Inhumans would likely be moved in an interview with Collider last week:
"Since we made our initial phase three announcement, we added 'Spider-Man,' which was a big joyous coup for us. We added 'Ant-Man and the Wasp,' which was a big fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an 'Indiana Jones' film for right around that same time. So I think ['Inhumans'] will shuffle off the current date that it's on right now. How far down it shuffles, I'm not sure yet."
There was fan discussion last year where there was talk that the Inhumans film could be scrapped altogether, followed by talk of moving the film forward given the progression of the Inhumans on Marvels Agents of SHIELD. AoS is desperately lacking any real link to the larger MCU other than the occasional name drops and infrequent mentions of a film shortly after a films release - with the Inhumans already established in the series, making the film come off the series would be a great way to introduce some of the main characters like Black Bolt, so there's still hope to see more of the Inhumans that fans know and love before the film is rescheduled, but it's not something that we would bet on.
