Judge Dredd Megazine 497 Preview: Rojimbo Ends, Timequake Begins

Author: Ben Williams

Reading time: 2 minutes

Judge Dredd Megazine 497 arrives on 21st October with a seasonal slant. Scream! returns as a 48-page special, and several of the creators behind its stories are interviewed in the issue's main feature. Garth Ennis discusses his upcoming projects for Rebellion and US publishers, and he contributes to a piece on Johnny Red, which receives its first Treasury of British Comics collection next month.

There's thrills to be had comic-wise, as Starlord's Timequake begins here, written by Chris Lowder under his Jack Adrian pseudonym, with art from Ian Kennedy, John Cooper and Alberto Salinas. Mega-City 2099 continues, while Rogue Trooper, Lawless and Storm Warning all reach their penultimate chapters. Rojimbo concludes, clearing the way for January's milestone Meg 500.

Mega-City One, 2099 AD. Before the Judges took complete control of the metropolis, there were two strands of law enforcement – regular uniformed cops did much of the day-to-
