Justice League Will Be 'Hopeful & Optimistic'

In his first official interview since taking the job as co-head of DC Films, Geoff Johns has made some rather interesting comments regarding the future of DC Comics movie universe. Gone is the moody and dark days (which we personally love, as alien invasions and fighting aren't meant to be happy times) - step forward a future that's more "hopeful and optimistic."
"Mistakenly in the past I think the studio has said, 'Oh, DC films are gritty and dark and that’s what makes them different.' That couldn't be more wrong. It's a hopeful and optimistic view of life. Even Batman has a glimmer of that in him. If he didn't think he'd make tomorrow better, he'd stop."

Johns and his co-head Peter Berg worked closely with Justice League director Zack Snyder and screenwriter Chris Terrio to make the film closer to their vision of the DC Universe.
"We accelerated the story to get to the hope and optimism a little faster"
Peter Berg
Interestingly, after causing a bit of a stir with fans after watching Batman v Superman, it seems that Justice League will address the level of violence Batman was willing to commit, saying they won't be "par for the course," though neither Johns or Berg commented on this directly.
Justice League is currently filming set for a 16th November 2017 release.
