Rattlesnake

Author: Ashley Northey

Reading time: 1 minute

Director: Zak Hilditch

Cast: Carmen Ejogo, Theo Rossi & Emma Greenwell

What would you do to save the life of a loved one? Kill for them?

That's the question at the heart of Rattlesnake, a middling supernatural tale that plods rather than thrills, with the director failing to mount any amount of tension.

After her daughter is bitten by a Rattlesnake, Katrina leaves her daughter with a strange woman, who heals her with one catch; she has to kill someone else or she dies. Lead actress Carmen Ejogo makes the 84 minute run-time just about bearable, but the spooky side of proceedings lacks any real (ahem) bite and is instead, a weak thriller rather than a good chiller.

The Verdict: 2/5

Rattlesnake is available on Netfilx now.
