Commando Comics have a great subscription offer on at the moment. Their best being £49.99 for a whole year, with the option to knock a further 30% off that with the discount code DCTEXTRA. That's four issues a fortnight for a year. Even without the extra discount, we think that's a pretty exceptional deal.

If you've never read an issue of Commando Comics before, then DC Thomson Media are now offing you the chance to, as they are offering "Red Snow" (Commando No 5309, that was released earlier this year) as a free sampler issue to show you what they're all about and hopefully lead you into subscribing.

Simply head over to the official Commando web site, and you can read the story in your browser.

Commando Comics 5309 Red Snow

Red Snow is written by Jason Cobley, with art by Morhain & Defo, with a superb cover by Neil Roberts.

For the German soldiers advancing towards Stalingrad, they thought the cold and the biting hunger were the only things they had to worry about. But trapped in the howling blizzard, they felt as if they were being hunted, picked off one by one — the only clue to their missing comrades’ whereabouts, a patch of red snow and trail of bloody paw prints…

They were not alone in the dark wasteland, and their survival depended on their wits…

If this entices you into subscribing, head over to the Commando Comics Digital Subscriptions page for the best prices.
