Transformers 4, the sequel to Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, which will be the start of a second Transformers trilogy has finally been given a name as well as a poster that reveals nothing at all apart from the title. The 2014 film will be called Transformers: Age of Extinction which has raised some interesting opinions.

Mainly that it's speculating at Dinobots — a subsection of Transformers who transform from robots to dinosaurs (oh yeah!), instead of vehicles. How cool would that be? In a recent interview with Beijing News, translated by the TFormers fan site, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura is quoted as saying that while he couldn’t divulge specifics, the Dinobots would “bring new excitement” to audiences. So let's hope that they happen. I don't remember too much of my childhood, but I remember watching the Transformers cartoons, I remember the main characters like Optimus, Megatron, Ironhide, Shockwave, etc. I also remember the Dinobots, so that tells me that they must have been pretty awesome or I wouldn't remember them.

Good news though from the pictures released not too long ago, is that Optimus Prime will be in the new trilogy. All the talk of going in a different direction had me worried that he wouldn't be in it, and it just wouldn't be Transformers if Optimus Prime was missing.

Directed by Michael Bay, Transformers: Age of Extinction stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Nicola Peltz, Sophia Myles and T.J. Miller. The film is scheduled for release on 27th June 2014.
