Forever Evil #2 Preview
Reading time: 2 minutes

Villain’s Month has finally wrapped up last week. The villainous monologues grew tired throughout all 52 books featuring the rogues. Hopefully after that massive roadblock the talented creatives ar DC can come back to telling their own stories without such massive restraints shackled to the stories. Forever Evil features rogues, but unlike the previous books featuring the criminals it propels the plot of the DC Universe forward. While, thus far nobody has any idea what happen to the respective Justice League at the end of Trinity War the first issue of the new event series gave Nightwing a massive revelations. After reading countless tie in issues with the convicts, for the most part there seems to be no new light shed on the over-arching story. Forever Evil #2 hits store shelves on wednesday, and we have the exclusive preview. Set-up towards the dynamic of Lex Luthor and the Crime Syndicate is explored, along with what could possibly be a status quota changing moment with the current Teen Titans. Writer Geoff Johns shed light on the series with the following quote with Buzzfeed,

In issue number two we’ll delve a little more into the Crime Syndicate as a group and individually, so we’ll get to know Ultra Man, Johnny Quick, Power Ring, and the others. Each one of them has a very different opinion on what they should be doing here on earth. We’ll reveal a little bit more about why they’re here and why they left their earth, and we’ll also start to unpeel another story.
Lex is definitely the protagonist of this series. It’s a journey for him that will have some pretty big repercussions moving forward. He doesn’t necessarily want to rule the world like this. He doesn’t like what the Crime Syndicate are doing. This isn’t okay for business; it isn’t okay for life. He’s taken it upon himself that if Superman’s not around, he’s going to step up.
