Marvel did good on creator Jim Starlin when they let come back to his prized creation; Thanos with a the recent annual shipping on May 28th. Another project also came to fruition from the famed character and creator with The Infinity Revelation an 100 page graphic novel written and drawn by Starlin himself. On his Facebook page, the author had already started plotting out his next venture with the hero after the graphic novel, The Infinity Duel. He proposed to bring Adam Warlock back from the dead in the graphic novel, but apparently the powers that be at Marvel would not let Starlin make decision due to Warlock being someone who is off the grid at the moment. Instead, they gave him the Savage Hulk series to work on.

Okay, this time, after I brought Adam Warlock back from the dead in The Infinity Revelation, someone at Marvel anonymously put a corporation-wide-no-use restriction on the character, effectively putting the brakes on the ongoing plans I had for him and [Thanos], says the creator.

Marvel Vice President Of Publishing Tom Brevoort stated the following on the matter with his Tumblr,

This is all really about something else, something much smaller that Jim probably shouldn’t even have taken public on his Facebook page. But he did, so there you go.

Jim Starlin gave these quotes to Newsarama on the matter,

I've given up on Warlock happening any time soon and have completed the three projects I committed to for Marvel - The Thanos Annual, The Infinity Revelation, and the Savage Hulkstory arc,

I turned in a plot to Tom Brevoort, which included Adam Warlock, and about two months later Tom informed me about the hold but said he couldn't explain it to me,” Starlin claimed. “That's when I took on the Savage Hulk story arc, to keep busy until the hold was lifted and built up some more advanced storyline for the proposed project (The Infinity Duel).

Finally, CBR posted a preview for the Annual that had some intruiging pages from the aforementioned creator. Check it out, and get ready for The Infinity Revelation with the upcoming Annual on May 28th.
