There have been rumors and speculation for months that Jonathan Hickman is getting ready to conclude his Avengers saga; However, Now we are sure thanks to Newsarama that this book is officially coming to an end. The saga is wrapping up with another Avengers event called “Time Runs Out.” This is fitting as Hickman’s saga is delving further and further into the time stream as soon as Infinity concluded. The crossover is launching in September as Marvel’s next big Avengers event. The series is crossing into both Avengers and New Avengers which is shipping in double-sized issues when September rolls around. Marvel Senior VP and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort shared the following info on the book.

After the cataclysmic events of the Avengers tie-in to Original Sin and the revelation as to what the Illuminati has been up to all this time, we jump the storyline ahead to the moment where time runs out for everybody, explains Brevoort.

We at Comic Book News UK have been feverishly interested in the saga since it first launched with a stellar opening issue. While we are sad to let the book, Hickman's run on the main Marvel franchise will be heralded by us as undeniably great. The series dove headfirst into weirdness, and was unafraid of creating distance from the reader. It opened new plot focused storytelling that was nothing short of imaginative or inspiring. Later on in the week, we will run a piece covering some of the most exciting moments from the saga thus far.

Avengers #35 kicks off the story with art by the incredible Jim Cheung. New Avengers #24 continues “Time Runs Out” with a Mike Deodato drawn story.
