At the Diamond Retail Summit Marvel made the official announcement that they are going to skip their 75th Anniversary. Before you scoff at that idea, or even let out a chuckle or two in disbelief, Marvel is actually celebrating their possible future. They are taking a look at what the 100th Anniversary of the company could possibly look like well into the future. With the Marvel age of comics officially starting with that fateful issue of Fantastic Four #1 in 1961 with Stan Lee, the company is looking at what surprises 2061 could possibly bring. For most, this will be the first exposure to the shocking style of Lozano, as the style features various landmark characters in an exquisite painterly style donning new costumes and attitudes. Some highlights of the image seen below include the female Star-Lord, the Thing’s split from the FF, Wolverine’s new look, and Cyclops’ laser beam. This poster manages to cram in a lot of really nice detail into just three specific franchises with these interlocking covers, featuring the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and the Guardian’s of the Galaxy. Newsarama ran the incredible piece of artwork earlier this morning.
