Faith soars in Harbinger: Faith #0

Harbinger from Valiant Entertainment took risks from the time the first issue of the series hit the stands. As the title grew and started to develop, it seemed clear to fans that there was one specific character that glowed with warm radiance, Faith Hebert. The overweight superhero represented a demographic of comics' readership that deserved recognition. Esteemed Harbinger author Joshua Dysart is going to write the one-shot an issue centered on Faith with artwork by rising Valiant star Robert Gill. The issue is formally entitled Harbinger: Faith #0 and is shipping in December. There are covers for the series by Joe Quinones and Lucy Knisley with a variant cover by Brian Level. Multiversity broke the news and ran the following solicit and quote from the upcoming issue:
I think the fact that she’s an atypical hero is exactly the thing that makes her a fan favorite. I’ve had readers approach me and say that before Faith came along they’d never seen anyone that looked like them save the day before. Not just in comics, in any medium. And so, in that light, I really feel that Valiant and myself have a responsibility to make her as real and true as we can, because we’ve got something far more important than a trope on our hands here.

Valiant also announced that Faith is guest-starring in the upcoming Unity #12. The title includes art from Stephen Segovia and writing via the acclaimed Matt Kindt. Unity is shipping in December.
