Reading time: 1 minute
UK comics creator Carol Swain has launched her official website, and it's well worth a visit.
Swain is best known for acclaimed graphic novels including Gast, Foodboy, Crossing the Empty Quarter, Giraffes in my Hair, and Skin, and has long been one of the most distinctive voices in British alternative comics. The new site can be found at carolswaincomics.com.

What You'll Find on the Site
For the first time, fans can contact Carol directly through the website. You can also browse and purchase original signed artwork from her graphic novels, as well as pages from her many shorter comic stories. Signed back issues of her debut comic Way Out Strips are available too.
There's also a brand new, exclusive interview with Carol - well worth reading if you want to know more about her work and influences.
Carol Swain has a dedicated fanbase, and if you've supported her work in the past, she'd love your help getting the word out. Sharing this announcement on your website or social media would go a long way. Or, simply visit her new site and support her directly. There are many good items available for purchase.
New printings of the rare first and second issues of the aforementioned Way Out Strips are issued in the same photocopied format as when they were originally published, £12.99 each. Plus nearly 100 pages of original comic art. Postage within the UK is free.
Gast Optioned for Film
In other exciting news, Carol's graphic novel Gast - a coming-of-age story following a young English girl who investigates the suicide of a reclusive, cross-dressing Welsh farmer - has been optioned for a short film. The project is being developed by French director Frédéric Bayer Azem. Gast was published in France by Ça et Là.
