If Social Media is anything to go by, a good amount of people who have seen the Summer Blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy thus far have been absolutely captivated by the image of a potted baby Groot dancing to “I Want You Back” by the Jackson 5. After all the thinking before hand that Rocket Raccoon would be the biggest hit, baby Groot has become the fans favourite, and so it's become inevitable that official merchandise would soon arrive based on this adorable phenomenon. Now it has, and it should be a good seller.

Ryan Penagos, Marvel’s executive editorial director of digital media, announced Friday via his Twitter account that Funko will release a “Dancing Groot” vinyl bobblehead. Calling it the "first" implies that more may (likely) be on the way. Whilst it won't be able to emulate all of the cute dancing moves, as displayed at the end of the film, it definitely has the bobbing head covered.

Further details about this, like when these actually will be available to purchase, are yet been released. Funko have though said to expect an announcement early next week, and that the Dancing Groots will be available in retail stores, not as an online exclusive.

The Dancing Groot sequence has proven so popular online that Marvel beat pirates to the punch and released the clip on YouTube, where is currently has just over 1 million views. Not bad considering it's only been up for little more than a week.
