Hellboy 3 officially will not happen
Reading time: 1 minute
For the better part of a decade, director Guillermo del Toro has kept Hellboy fans on their toes as he teased, promised, and pleaded to make a third Hellboy movie. The main star Ron Perlman is up for it and fans want it, but no studio has been willing to pay for it. Now though, the dream of Hellboy 3 is officially dead as del Toro has quite simply said that it isn't happening.
Hellboy 3 Sorry to report: Spoke w all parties. Must report that 100% the sequel will not happen. And that is to be the final thing about it
— Guillermo del Toro (@RealGDT) February 21, 2017
Taking to his Twitter account, del Toro revealed that not only did he fail yet again, but that he's finally done trying to make the film happen.
As disappointing as the news is, it's also probably for the best as now we can stop wonder whether it will happen and can stop asking for it - well, we can still ask for it, but it's not going to happen.
At least we still have Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army.
