The Master's favourite zine making team is back, bigger and more cosmic than before.

Being appointed the Master's favourite zine team comes with many responsibilities: foot rubbing, poison testing, becoming a human shield on command…But by far, the most important is spreading the word of his magnificence through works of beauty. Since shipping out their last zine, the 77 Years Team have been working on their biggest love letter yet. A tome-sized, feature-length, fully illustrated book of fan creations documenting the most captivating relationship in Doctor Who.

The History Between Us zine will chronicle the Doctor and the Master's adventures across every incarnation, with thirty-four contributors from across the world, a wealth of custom merchandise and a fully illustrated anthology of short stories weaving together amidst the universe's most complicated therapy session.

Follow the Doctor and the Master's dance through space and time from the very start, through each adventure and disaster up to now, where they sit at opposite ends of a couples' counselling sofa.

Each main story will follow a different Doctor from the 1st to the 13th, with a larger framing story threading through and culminating in an explosive end. The zine will be fully illustrated by artists from the fan community, with special feature pages and full-page, full-colour artwork. There's even a secret epilogue, the contents of which will remain a complete mystery until copies ship out.

The 77 Years Team has existed in its present form since December 2021, when Katherine Wheeler, Em Robin and Devon James joined forces to start what would become "Around the Universe's Worst Planet in 77 Years". The members' previous contributions to the fandom include HopeZine (an anthology fundraiser for frontline healthcare workers during lockdown), credits in Gender Who? and Doctor Who: Remnants, amongst numerous contributions to other fanworks.

The team don't plan to stop making zines any time soon and hopes one day to represent themselves in person at conventions across the world.

The History Between Us zine is open for preorders from the 7th of October to the 7th of November, with standard, special and digital editions available.

All the profits from The History Between Us will be donated to Micro Rainbow. On top of this, the team will always aim to make zines affordable and accessible. Standard edition zines will be sold at cost, and digital edition copies will run on a 'pay what you want' system to enable and encourage all in the fan community to engage.
