Small Press Fair by Paper Jam Comics Collective - Newcastle Event on 19th October 2025
Get ready for a wonderful celebration of indie creativity at the Small Press Fair in Newcastle, hosted by the ever-inventive Paper Jam Comics Collective! Taking place on Sunday, 19th October 2025, from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM, this free event will transform the basement of Travelling Man Newcastle into a buzzing hub of comics, zines, art, and more. Meet local creators, browse unique handmade goods, and support the thriving small press scene - all in one afternoon.
The event is held downstairs at Travelling Man Newcastle. Unfortunately, access is only via stairs. It's free to enter, everyone is friendly, and there will be lots of fantastic things. There may also be some freebies. Come along and support local arts.
Small Press Fair Featuring
The Paper Jam Comics Collective will be out in full force, showcasing their themed anthology comics and indie spirit.
Meet Jennifer C. Wilson, known for historical fiction, romance novels, and writing guides. She also contributes to North Tyneside Writers' Circle anthologies.
Alexi Conman brings comics, illustrated puzzles, one-page RPGs, and chaotic Pikachu sketches. Expect the unexpected.
Mike Duckett creates zines with bold illustrations. One features a particularly unsettling wolf - approach with caution and curiosity.
Lucky Moth Studio offers black-and-white artwork, zines, pins, stickers, and tote bags. Their table is always a visual treat.
Leo Healy presents two sci-fi comics with Torgo Wells:
- So You've Been Conquered by the Human Race (Minicomics Awards 2024 finalist).
- Uncle Zaxlor's Robot Repair Shop, an all-ages sci-fi comedy.
He also makes Pokémon and wrestling zines.
Britt Coxon explores odd topics like tomatoes and strange questions from strangers. Her table includes stickers, cards, notebooks, and 3D paper craft kits.
LJ Matthews Art will have prints, badges, stickers, original art, and artbooks. Zines may also make an appearance.
Masked Emerald offers books, zines, stickers, and upcycled badges. Their work blends whimsy with sustainability.
Ben Clark delivers tiny but powerful comics. Each one packs a punch despite its size.
Torgo Wells showcases highly detailed sci-fi comics. His intricate linework is a must-see. We're huge fans, as you can tell from the above reviews for Leo Healy.
Paul Thompson brings mystery and intrigue. His work is bold, enigmatic, and always worth exploring.
