Top 5 for 2019

It's never easy to narrow down a list like this, but we've done it anyway. Here are the top five UK comic related things that we're looking forward to this year.

Where 2000 AD take Dredd after The Small House story-line, and the eventual release of that story as a graphic novel. We have to wait until September, but just think of the joy of reading that story arc again. Easily one of the best Dredd stories in recent memory, and there's been some good ones! Mark Millar described it as special, and who are we to argue with that.

Avengers Endgame is set to hit UK theatres on Friday, April 26, 2019. Yeah, this is a Hollywood film, but come on, it's really a global big deal. Everyone is looking forward to this. So the important information, is when we get to see it. So mark the 26th of April on your calendars. Sadly, this is two days after the US release, so you have 48 hours to avoid spoilers. It'll feel like a long time, but it'll surely be worth it.

Ramsey's Raiders, the debut graphic novel from DC Thomson and Commando is released this month - the 24th to be exact.  The graphic novel sees the return of prolific war comic writer Ferg Handley. It's a historic moment for DC Thomson and a great way to start 2019.

Villains taking over 2000 AD - this should be, and will be, exciting! 2000 AD have some of the best villains, with the top spot being an obvious choice in the Dark Judges. The price is also a superb deal which makes this a must have even more than it would be. Truth be told, this is the kind of special that we'd pay the usual Prog price for. The special is packed with work done by some of the biggest and best names to work for 2000 AD, including Rob Williams, Pat Mills and Henry Flint.

Lastly, there's a ton of indy comics that we're looking forward to getting our hands on this year, but after some consideration, Bust #4 just edges it. The issue will be coming to Kickstarter this year, as confirmed by the creators at Card Shark Comics. Production is well underway for  Bust #4: Steel and Blood, written by Dave Cook with art by Chris O'Toole.
