Marvel Comics announces Brand New Secret Wars Event for May 2015 with Hickman and Ribic

At New York Comic-Con, Marvel Comics just announced a brand new Secret Wars event coming from Esad Ribic and Jonathan Hickman. The end of the current Avengers story by Hickman entitled 'Time Runs Out' is the supposed lead-up to the important new publishing event. The story is said to run throughout 2015. The news was announced by Dan Buckley, Marvel's President of publishing, television, and print at Times Square, and was confirmed with images by outlets like Newsarama. When Jonathan brought this to us, we had an opportunity to just not celebrate this in publishing, so we're going to be extending this in a year-long program into 2016 with our merchandising partners, digital partners and other partners.
